Bill Split Calculator does not ask you to create an account or submit personal information to operate the calculator. We do not use cookies, browser localStorage, or third-party analytics. The page does not include advertising scripts, tracking pixels, external fonts, or external content requests. The reserved advertising container is currently empty.

Bill amounts, optional names, expense descriptions, recorded payments, tax, tip, and shares are processed in your browser. The calculator does not upload those inputs to a server or store a database of your splits. Input values remain in the current page while you use it. Your browser may independently retain form values, history, or clipboard contents according to its own settings.

When you choose to share a split, its inputs are encoded in the fragment of the URL, after the hash symbol. URL fragments are not included in ordinary HTTP requests to the hosting server. The calculator does not upload that fragment separately. This encoding is not encryption: anyone with the complete link can decode and read the included names and amounts. Your messaging service, browser synchronization, or anyone you send the link to may retain a copy. Avoid including sensitive information.

The static website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering a web page necessarily involves the hosting provider receiving connection information, such as an IP address and requested path. Hosting infrastructure may process technical logs under its own policies; the absence of calculator tracking does not mean that no network metadata exists. We do not use those requests to build a calculator user profile.

If you independently send us email, that message includes the information you choose to provide and is handled by email providers, outside the calculator. The contact address is a placeholder until configured by the site operator. For local privacy, clear your browser history or clipboard when necessary, and stop distributing any link you no longer want others to access.
